HDPEL, since its nationalization, has been serving nation by building different vessels, crafts, barges, dredgers, passenger vessels etc. We appreciate that in the scenario, when Government of India is promoting Inland waterways, coastal shipping, Trade between neighbouring countries, if we wish to remain a market leader in one of the fastest growing sectors i.e. ship building and repair sector, we need to upgrade our facilities/technology to world class standards.

We have taken a few initiatives in this direction and are committed to remain front leader along eastern coast in shipbuilding and repair sector.
